#29 Does wellness have an age problem?
It's an industry that has a natural interest in preserving mind and body, but it's important not to forget about the wisdom of experience....
I’ve been very lucky over the years to jet off—for ‘work’—to some incredible places around the world. I’ve checked into the A-list-frequented SHA Wellness Clinic in southern Spain, where I munched on a diet of solely grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts and seaweed (better than it sounds), ridden horseback amongst the thousand-year-old caves of Turkey’s Cappadocia and toured the Niagara Falls by helicopter on a day trip from Toronto. However, one of my favourite ever press trips was actually, believe it or not, to the UK. I went to review a Pilates retreat for a magazine at a grand, old rural hotel, called Lucknam Park, in the Cotswolds—and it was a three-day stay that has remained etched on my mind.
