#99 TUESDAY SCOOP... 5 beauty buys saving my skin right now
What's been giving me a glow this spring so far (for less £$€ than you'd think)...
1/ You might have seen ‘hypochlorous spray’ uttered with increasing frequency over the past couple of years—particularly on social media—and it has proved a hyped ingredient with staying power, thanks to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. I’ve been loving the calming effect on my skin—which is prone to redness and breakouts—of the Mario Badescu Repairing Facial Spray with Hypochlorous Acid and it’s a steal…
2/ This is another very affordable beauty product that has become a bathroom favourite of mine. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser not only provides a lovely cooling sensation when applied, but it does precisely what it says on the pot thanks to its hydrating hyaluronic acid content. Warm two to three drops before applying, and ensure it’s fully absorbed before your head hits the pillow…
4/ It’s no secret how much I rate Tropic as a brand (for its dedication to natural ingredients), and the Morning Mist is my current favourite. It combines avocado milk, aloe vera juice and hyaluronic acid for amazing hydration first thing—and it’s especially useful if you’re trying to get out of a ‘dryness’ rut. While it has ‘toning’ on the bottle, it won’t dry you out, and the spray application makes it a pleasant way to keep cooling off throughout a balmy day…
5/ Even though I’m not wild about the name, the REN Bio Retinoid Youth Cream worked wonders on my face after nightly use over a matter of weeks. It feels nice and rich in consistency for PM use, and contains Bidens pilosa—said to be a plant-derived alternative to retinol that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles—as well as protective olive leaf extract and smoothing red algae. Judging by the unexpected stream of positive comments from friends, I looked like *me* but after a month of serious ‘beauty sleep’…
